Centre for Research on Language Change

Centre for Research on Language Change

The CRLC promotes research on all aspects of language change, from the history of particular languages and language families, to variation and change at the community level.

The Centre provides a unitary focus point for research in this filed at the Australian National University (ANU), combining interests of researchers in the College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) and the College of ASIA and the Pacific (CAP).

We seek to actively promote the formulation of cross-campus and inter-university projects through organising and promoting seminars, lectures and conferences; publishing appropriate works; supporting funding applications; and publicising interests and achievements of work in language change at the ANU. We work closely with the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Dynamics of Language.
