Drachma of a Seleukid king
Silver 4.07 g. 18 mm. 223-187 BC.
Obv.: Head of Antiochos, r.
Rev.: Apollo seated l. on omphalos; monogram to left, left hand on bow behind him, right hand holding an arrow(?). ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ to the right and ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟΥ (both unclear) (‘of King Antiochos’) to the left of the figure.
The mis-struck reverse makes this coin very difficult to identify with any certainty. Similar coins were struck in the names of Seleukos III, Seleukos IV, Antiochos III, Antiochos IV and Demetrios I.
