THE ANU CLASSICS MUSEUM IS CLOSED FOR HAIL REMEDIATION WORKS ON THE AD HOPE BUILDING UNTIL JUNE 2024 (DATE TBC). The collections have been transferred to secure storage. Alternative offerings for schools and community groups with the hands-on teaching collection are available during the closure, please contact classics.museum@anu.edu.au for details.


Welcome to the ANU Classics Museum

The Classics Museum, established in 1962, displays over 600 objects that provide fascinating insights into the cultural practices of the ancient Greek and Roman worlds. It features examples of ancient art and objects of daily life ranging across Roman Britain, Europe, Northern Africa, and the Near and Middle East.

The Museum is open to the general public Monday-Friday, and guided tours are available for schools and groups.
