The gold ring is set with a cornelian bearing the intaglio bust of a young woman, left. She is shown with a band over the top of the head and the hair is drawn into a roll about it at the side of the face and below.

Gold Ring with Inset Stone

Purchased.

The stone: 1 x 0.7cm.

Stolen from the ANU collection in December 2004.

Intact and in good condition but for some slight scarring of the raised areas of the stone.

The gold ring is set with a cornelian bearing the intaglio bust of a young woman, left. She is shown with a band over the top of the head and the hair is drawn into a roll about it at the side of the face and below.
