Acquisition number: 1973.16

The vase is intact but the surface is worn. Cream-buff clay. The lip is offset; the handle is of circular section; the base is flat. Dull mid- to dark-brown paint.

There is a broad band about the lip, a line round the shoulder and a broad band at the greatest diameter. There is a stroke of paint down the outer face of the handle that is continued onto the lower wall. There is no wash inside.

At its junction with the shoulder, the handle is supported by pellets placed on both sides.

From Al Mina. Presented by the Trustees of the British Museum. Ht 12.5cm; diam. 7.9cm.

The vase is intact but the surface is worn. Cream-buff clay. The lip is offset; the handle is of circular section; the base is flat. Dull mid- to dark-brown paint.
