The plate with incised decoration, with two 'Aphrodite' figures at the top combing their hair, a helmeted head at the bottom, a dog guarding the lock, the bronze key and part of the lock mechanism still preserved.

Despatched in May 2012; arrived and unpacked in the Classics Museum in June. Because of very poor packing, the lock plate arrived broken into 4 pieces. Report subsequently prepared by Lisa Addison (NGA), who inspected the lock on 29 June 2012.
