Description:

East Greek

Introduction by J.R. Green

The best readily-available general study of East Greek pottery of the Orientalising and Archaic periods is R.M. Cook and P. Dupont, East Greek Pottery (London – New York 1998), but the subject is not an easy one, in part because of the variety of fabrics and in part because of continuing difficulties of first-hand access to material with good context.
