Position: Graduate Analyst at New Zealand Treasury, alumna of German
School and/or Centres: School of Literature, Languages and Linguistics
Studying German culture and language was one of my most rewarding experiences at university. I was able to gain many invaluable – and transferrable – insights and skills that I have been able to apply in my work as a Graduate Analyst at the New Zealand Treasury. In particular, immersing myself in a foreign country and language enabled me to be flexible and adaptable to new situations, develop a rapport with people from different walks of life, quickly pick up new concepts and hone my critical thinking and analysis skills. Even though I am now based in Wellington, Germany will always remain close to my heart.
