College of Arts and Social Sciences Languages Showcase

Wednesday 20 August, 6-8pm

Learning a language is more than just a boost to your resume or handy for travelling.
Studies have shown people who learn another language are more decisive and better at multi-tasking. With the option for a once-in-a lifetime overseas exchange, it’s a no-brainer!

Find out more about studying Ancient Greek, Arabic, French, German, Indigenous Australian Languages, Italian, Latin, Persian, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish at ANU.
The evening will give you a taste of the languages we offer through short presentations and interactive activities.

Learn more about life as an ANU student by speaking to some of our current language students who will be there on the night.

Studying a language at CASS

At the College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS), it’s all about flexibility and following your passion. You can study languages as a major (or minor) in most degrees at ANU, including the Bachelor of Arts.

Immerse yourself further in languages through the Bachelor of Languages, which incorporates a language of your choice and linguistics – the study of language and how it works.
ANU is ranked 14th in the world, and number one in Australia for Modern Languages (QS World University Rankings 2014), and we teach more languages than any other university in Australia.
