German - course offerings

German-speaking universities offer three different types of courses for exchange students:

Regular courses offered in German: To get credit for their German Studies major students should choose courses which are associated with the discipline of German Studies, i.e. courses in linguistics, literature, history, politics, culture, etc., all related to the German-speaking countries.

German language and culture courses:
B1: "studienbegleitend" (accompanying);
B2: "studienvorbereitend" (preparatory). Intensive preparatory courses are only offered at Konstanz, Wuppertal and Bonn.

Thematic courses for international and exchange students offered in German, e.g. Post-war German history.
