Félicitations to Xiao Marshall-Taylor, who has been named winner of the fourth round of the 'Critiques de Film French Student Film Critic Prize'.

Xiao won the fourth round with a review of Jean-Paul Salomé's whimsical, imaginative, and comedic film La Daronne (English: The Godmother, Mama Weed) (2020) . Xiao's review is now featured on the Embassy of France’s new website for French-Australian relations, Sacreblue!

To really enjoy The Godmother, it’s necessary to consider what’s going on beneath the surface. From thrilling, intense chase scenes to comedic moments to showcasing courageous women and addressing contemporary political and social issues, this film has something for everyone.
