My time at the ANU was not just rewarding, it was life-changing! I studied Italian and Linguistics and the experience shaped my subsequent career and many of my travel experiences. I have gone on to become an academic and a translator of Italian literary fiction. Every day in my work I draw on what I learned during those years, and I derive great joy from exploring and sharing Italian language and culture through my teaching, my research and my translations.
