Emmaline Monteith (she/her) is a PhD candidate in Gender, Sexuality and Cultural Studies. Her PhD research focuses on how digital storytelling approaches to sex education, informed by online testimonies about sex and sexual assault, can be used as an effective sexual assault prevention measure. She is a Research Assistant and Intern Coordinator at the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership, where she investigates the primary prevention of gendered experiences of tech-based abuse. She is also the Head of Community at Raise Our Voice Australia, a social enterprise working to mobilise young women and gender diverse people to transform policy and politics.
