Laura Chien is a PhD Candidate at the Institute for Communication in Health Care and Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Fellow 2025. Her research investigates diagnosis and the communication of uncertainty from the perspective of patients and caregivers experiencing real-world diagnostic uncertainty, with the goal of enhancing diagnostic excellence in emergency care.
